The “Road to Makkah” initiative, launched by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, continues to streamline the immigration process for pilgrims to Makkah. As of 2024, the initiative has been implemented in five countries: Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, and Bangladesh. Under this initiative, pilgrims can complete their immigration requirements at their home country’s airport before departing for Saudi Arabia, saving time upon arrival.
